Diverse feedstocks are key to industry growth

In the most recent episode of Fueling Conversations, a content partnership with Brownfield Ag News, Alan Weber, an advisor to Clean Fuels Alliance America and a partner with MARCIV, discusses industry growth and the diverse set of feedstocks ready to meet those opportunities.

A national focus on climate as well as an industry vision will provide opportunities for feedstock growth.

"We've experienced really strong growth for biodiesel and renewable diesel production and use in the US. I know a lot of the headlines are about electrification, but the reality is our nation still really moves on trucks and so biodiesel and renewable diesel are playing a very important role in our national low carbon energy future." said Weber. "Our vision as an industry is to double in size to at least 6 billion gallons by 2030 and we are on track to doing so."

Weber goes on to explain the strength of the industry is the diversity of its feedstocks. "It's hard not to be excited about looking into the future and being really positive about additional feedstock supplies we have to produce renewable diesel and biodiesel," said Weber.
