Clean Fuels worked with USDA to ensure that biodiesel projects are eligible to participate in the Higher Blends Infrastructure Incentive Program, which provides matching grants on projects that will increase consumer access to biodiesel blends, such as B20.
Clean Fuels supports the Renewable Fuel Infrastructure Investment and Market Expansion Act of 2021 (S 227/HR 1542), bipartisan, bicameral legislation that will continue this successful program, which has already increased consumer access to biodiesel by 140 million gallons per year. Clean Fuels asks Congress to provide funding through annual appropriations for Farm Bill programs that help biodiesel and renewable diesel increase production and open new markets. Congress reauthorized the Biodiesel Fuel Education Program and the Bioenergy Program for Advanced Biofuels in the Agricultural Improvement Act of 2018; however, Congress did not provide mandatory funds for the education program.
